How many types of knee pain?

There are 2 types of knee pain, the acute knee pain and chronic knee pain .

1 . Acute knee pain

Osteoarthritis is the most common cause of joint pain at the age of 50 years , and is a disease of degeneration / aging joints that attack the structure of joint cartilage . Bumps appear on x-ray examination at the end of a bone called the ” spur ” or ” calcification ” . Commonly affected joints are the joint weight-bearing function , namely the knee and ankle . There are two causes of osteoarthritis are primary and secondary .

Primary osteoarthritis have no known cause with certainty, the most likely factor is heredity and age . While secondary osteoarthritis caused by a knee injury that occurred in the past, such as a knee injury while playing football , basketball , or because of excessive weight-bearing joints such as in people with excessive weight . As a result, the stability of the knee joint will be disrupted thus causing osteoarthritis .

What is the result if the knee pain is not dealt with properly?

Knee pain can inhibit the activity of the patient , can occur gradually muscle weakness around the knee , which eventually can occur muscle wasting and deformity in the knee joint. How treatment of chronic knee pain ?
